iglidur® A160 knife-edge rollers – Hygienic, durable and ideal for food applications
The iglidur® A160 knife-edge rollers have been specially developed for use in sensitive hygiene zones and impress with their outstanding material properties. Thanks to their food-grade compliance with FDA and EU 10/2011 standards, they are ideally suited for direct contact with food and meet the highest safety standards in the food industry.
The blue high-performance material is not only visually detectable but also extremely chemical-resistant. This makes the knife-edge rollers perfectly suited for applications involving intensive and frequent cleaning cycles – for example, in conveyor systems or packaging lines. They ensure reliable and smooth belt deflection even under demanding conditions.
Compared to conventional materials such as standard POM, iglidur® A160 rollers offer up to four times the service life (tested at 0.5 MPa and 0.6 m/s with a V2A shaft). At the same time, they represent a cost-effective, low-cost alternative to iglidur® A250, particularly at lower speeds and loads.
Another advantage: the knife-edge rollers are completely lubrication- and maintenance-free. This minimises the risk of contamination and ensures clean, sustainable operation.
