This 3D printer was constructed with almost no ready-made components. Even the linear guides were designed by the company itself, so that they do justice to the requirements of 3D printers. In other words, they have to be resilient, precise and wear-resistant In addition, no lubricant should be used near the printing bed otherwise the filament will become soiled. The design engineers found the most effective solution to be the use of iglidur® J plain bearings and the drylin® product family from igus. These fulfilled the given specifications best and allowed the fast and successful implementation of the design.
