The axis was measured by Fraunhofer IPA, the leading testing institute for cleanroom technology, in an ISO 3 test environment and achieved the best possible result of ISO Class 4 in accordance with ISO 14644-1 – and this with a dryspin steep-pitch thread DS10x25 at a feed rate of up to 40 mm/s. This makes it suitable for highly sensitive production and testing processes where low particle emission and process stability are essential.
The design utilises aluminium crossbeams, linear guides and carriages, combined with a dryspin 10×25 high-lead screw and iglidur E7 plain bearings. These components are designed for particularly low particle emission. As the system operates entirely dry, lubricants are completely eliminated as a potential source of contamination.
