Ottobock relies on our lubrication-free iglidur W300 and Q bearings and iglidur J guide rings in its knee joint prostheses. They replace previously used metal bearings and PTFE strips, which led to functional problems after a short time and became a safety risk.

The developers of Surf Evolution, a device for training surfing movements, were looking for better bearing technology. The solution: dry-running iglidur bushings, dryspin lead screws and drylin W linear guides. They keep maintenance to a minimum and reduce costs by 70%.
