This machine produces plastic parts using the injection moulding method. Previously, conventional bronze bearings were used in the closing mechanism on the hinged lid of the mould. However, these require frequent servicing and have often led to machine malfunction. Since these bearings were replaced by iglidur® plastic plain bearings from igus®, the machine has been running reliably, quietly and without any unplanned downtimes. In addition, the cycle time has been shortened thanks to the low friction coefficient of the bearings.
